We are the most diverse city in the U.S. We belong to each other.

Thank you for celebrating “Sowing Seeds of Compassion“ with us!

After months of planning and working on our annual fundraising event, it finally came to a close last Friday. We would like to take the time to show our appreciation to you as a donor (both in-kind and financial support) and attending guest.

We trust that you enjoyed our event, whether networking over lunch, engaging with the program, exploring our book fair, or learning about Compassionate Houston’s goals of caring, cultivating, creating, and connecting. Your presence and participation made the event truly special.

In addition to attending and supporting the luncheon through ticket sales, donations, and sponsorships, you helped us raise additional funds during the event, which significantly supports a continuous expansion of our programs, initiatives, and projects to impact even more Houstonians.

With much gratitude,

Board of Directors, Compassionate Houston

2023 - What an incredible Compassion Week!

As Thanksgiving approaches, we would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude and extend warm wishes!

Compassion Week came to a close last Sunday, Nov 19. It was an amazing week filled with warmth, joy, connections, and hope, all in the spirit of this year's theme: The Nurtured Community: Well-Being Through Connecting.

We will soon upload all photos of our kickoff event here. In the meantime, enjoy a few selected photos, courtesy of our photographer Laura Burlton (with the exception of two poet images). We are filled with deep gratitude for the many who joined Compassion Week this year. Head over to our CW reflection page with a beautiful statement by board president Pam Lewis, PhD.

Annual Luncheon 2022 “Houston’s Culture of Compassion”

What a pleasure it was to honor a phenomenal group of artists and experience the power of storytelling by Houston's refugees and volunteers, all joined in supporting the spread of compassion in our community.

We put together a comprehensive review on "Houston's Culture of Compassion" event, an appreciation for all involved and in attendance with photos, testimonials, artist awards, downloadable artists posters, and more.

Thank you for celebrating the transformative power of compassion with us.
