Compassionate Integrity TRaining Houston

Compassionate Houston offers Compassionate Integrity Training (CIT) to the Greater Houston community and beyond twice a year, with one class scheduled in Spring and the second one in Fall, either online via Zoom or in-person.

What is CIT?

Compassionate Integrity Training (CIT) moves through a series of 10 modules, each focusing on a particular skill and tools. The modules aim to cultivate compassion and are organized into three series, each corresponding to a domain, from an individual to an interpersonal, to an organizational/systems level exploration.

CIT is based on cutting-edge developments in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, trauma-informed care, peace and conflict studies, and contemplative science, and builds off of work done by Daniel Goleman (author of the book Emotional Intelligence) and Peter Senge, initiatives in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), and other areas.

Testimonials

The class was very enriching but above all very enjoyable and nourishing; every day we started with a quick review and checkup, we had very interesting conversations in all classes that touched everyone’s heart and made all of us better persons without even noticing.”
— Lidia Ramirez CIT Course March 2021
“Compassion Integrity Training has helped me heal as a recovering workaholic. I learned how to forgive others from long ago, and to lay those burdens down. The CIT practices became ingrained. I am getting a certificate in compassion, and my spouse says that I deserve it.”
— Ken Shilling CIT Course March 2021
Your presentation of a mixture of visual images and exercises opened so many doors to how I think, my assumptions and the way I want to move forward in my life. I am a reader by nature, and your class stimulated a whole new path of literature - always exciting for me. Your class inspired me to think beyond my comfort zone.
— Katy, CIT Course Fall 2022
I am very grateful I took the class and that I am practicing. I have definitely seen a difference in my life.
