We are excited to share with you our own network-wide event in collaboration with several other organizations: the free showing of the multiple award-winning documentary The Spirit of Ubuntu ("I am because We are"), including the producer performing live music from the film.

The event is scheduled for World Kindness Day, November 13, a beautiful reminder intrinsic to Ubuntu that compassion unites us all.

Meet our Co-Sponsors:

We are proud to announce that Connect Community, Gethsemane Church, a ministry of St. Luke's UMC, The Garden, and The Alta Arts are co-sponsors of the event. Their support and collaboration are integral to its success.

What is the meaning of Ubuntu?

Ubuntu, in its essence, embodies a visionary potential to transform communities by fostering a deep sense of interconnectedness and shared humanity. Rooted in the idea that "I am because We are," Ubuntu encourages a collective approach to problem-solving, where the well-being of each individual is intertwined with the well-being of the entire community.
