Who Are We — What Do We Do — What Have We Achieved
Since 2011, Compassionate Houston has served as both an umbrella and a lightning rod for Houstonians with a Passion for Compassion. Our mission is to cultivate a compassionate culture across Greater Houston, guided by the principles of the Charter for Compassion and its Compassionate Cities/Communities model.
We pursue four core aims in collaboration with an extensive network of organizational partners and individuals (see them here), our all-volunteer working board, and an expanding circle of volunteers. Through select educational, collaborative, and compassion-focused programs, we raise awareness, foster connection, and share the message of our common humanity—making a difference by growing compassion’s presence throughout diverse communities.
